Jack Bernhard’s Blonde Ice (1948): Summer of Noir GIFs, Day 10

In 1946, Jack Bernhard directed one of most underrated and unusual of films noirs: Decoy, a pulpy Poverty Row shocker with a femme fatale as its protagonist. Sadly, his later effort Blonde Ice doesn’t come up to that standard. But it’s worth watching… if only to enjoy Leslie Brooks—as sociopathic society columnist-turned-black widow Claire Cummings Hanneman—reciting the femme fatal credo and rather ineptly dispatching any poor sap who stands in her way.
