Thank you to everyone who participated! And also to everyone who spread the word and read the posts! I think that Vincent would be pleased…
It seems right to remember Vincent Price in the autumn, when we gravitate towards the tales of the macabre that he brought so thrillingly to life. Turner Classic Movies has appropriately decided to honor Price as their October 2013 Star of the Month.
October 25, 2013 marked the 20th anniversary of Price’s death. (And, incidentally, the 23rd anniversary of my birth…) So, I wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate one of my favorite actors, his work, his interests, and his legacy..
Bloggers were welcome to write about any facet of Price’s life, including but not limited to his radio and voice-over work, his theater and television careers, his gourmet adventures, his passion for collecting art—and, of course, his films spanning many genres.
I accepted multiple entries about the same film or topic. After all, everyone has a slightly different perspective, right?

I’ve got you added. Looking forward to your post!
Hi! I’m new to your blog, but I can’t pass up a good VP blogathon. I’d love to do a write-up on MADHOUSE (1974) if you’ll have me!

Welcome! I’m glad you’re on board!
(forgot to mention that I’d be publishing the post probably on the 25th…sorry!)

I would love to do The Tomb of Ligeia for the ‘thon!
Ooh, I forgot to say what date — probably the 26th, though I can’t promise it won’t be the early morning of the 27th. Thanks!
I’m glad you’re joining in! No worries about the date. I just wanted to get a rough idea 😉
This sounds like fun! I’m a big fan of Price. I’d love to share some thoughts on the Vincent Price films The Raven and The Web.
Sure thing! Thanks for participating!
This sounds interesting, fun, and macabre. I look forward to reading insightful posts. Thanks for creating this Blogathon.
Wish I’d known about this sooner. I’ve already done three posts on him this month. Let me think and get back to you but perhaps I can write on another TV show he was in or something.

So sorry! I guess I should’ve put it out there a bit more. In the meantime, I’ll have fun catching up on your Price posts, and, if possible, I would love it if you could manage one more for this!
I’d be happy to write about MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH, especially how it represents one of the few successful Poe adaptations.
Terrific! I love MASQUE. Happy to have you on board.
If it’s not too late, I would like to do the Tingler for the 27th at Grand Old Movie – let me know, thanks.
Nope, not too late! I just added you. Thanks for joining in!
Thanks, looking forward to it!
I believe I’ll be writing about The Raven.
Fantastic! I just added it 😉
So sorry I didn’t know about this until now 😦 Please keep me posted if you do more Blogathons AND please feel free to post them on the CMH Events Calendar 🙂 I am always glad to help promote! http://www.classicmoviehub.com/events.php
